Meet The Hansen Family Team

Erik is an Arizona native. In 2002, after college, Erik joined the United States Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Four years later, following an injury, he returned home and started working in the plumbing industry. In 2008 Erik joined his father, Dick’s, plumbing company where he continued learning the skills of the trade from the best of the best! After five years of working with his dad, Erik made the decision to start his own company, founding Hansen Family, originally EH Plumbing & Drains, in the winter of 2013.

Erik and his wife, Shelby, live in Mesa with their children. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, especially out at the lake. Erik is a life-long Arizona Cardinals fan and he makes it a priority to get to as many games as possible.

Dick has been in the Plumbing industry since 1981 and has nearly mastered the trade! Dick is Erik’s dad and mentor, serving the Hansen Family as the Field Manager. He is our resident plumbing master, the first person the team turns to with any and all questions regarding plumbing projects. His knowledge in the industry is unmatched.

Originally from Missouri, he moved to Arizona in the early 80s where he has been ever since. When he’s not working with Erik at his company, he enjoys watching Cardinals’ football and loves spending time with his wife, Diana, and with their children and grandchildren.

Mark has been in the plumbing industry for over 3 years, and while that may not seem like a long time, he diagnoses and performs plumbing services like that of a veteran technician. He has been at Hansen Family for over 2 years and in those 2 years has exemplified what a valuable team member he is. Mark was promoted to field manager early in his career with Hansen Family because of his true dedication to the company and knowledge of the plumbing industry as a whole.

When Mark is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter (soon to be daughters!), play baseball in a local mens league, and play poker with his buddies.

Mark is a master at sewer and water line repairs and installation, being able to quickly diagnose issues and offer our clients the best solutions that are not only budget friendly but the best course of action. He is dedicated to his trade and loves working for Hansen Family because of the supportive, family environment.

Dillon was recently promoted from apprentice to full-time technician. While he is young, his eagerness to master the industry has prevailed from his very first day with the Hansen Family team. He has been with Hansen Family for almost a year, riding alongside our master technicians for the first 8 months of his career here. As a new technician, his eagerness and enthusiasm helped to expedite his training and understanding of the industry as a whole. Dillon exemplifies our company’s core values each day and we feel honored to have him on our team. As he grows within the company and plumbing space, he hopes to one day become a master technician who specializes in drains, fully understanding how everything in our homes work to better serve his customers!

In his down time, Dillon loves to hang out with his dad, fish, watch movies, and play video games.

Chad recently joined the Hansen Family team and has hit the ground running! With 15 years of experience, he adapted quickly to our operations and fully embraced our company culture and core values. Chad has exemplified extensive knowledge in the industry and continuously offers other team members support when needed. He is eager to grow his customer base with Hansen Family while continuing to grow and learn within the plumbing space. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on our team.

In his free time, Chad loves to spend time with his grandkids. One of his driving forces is helping people, which made him a perfect fit for the Hansen Family team.

Matt has been in the HVAC industry for over 15 years, offering extensive knowledge in the space that has helped build our reputation in Greater Phoenix as being one of the leading HVAC companies. He specializes in being able to quickly diagnose A/C issues and offer multiple repair options to best fit the needs of Hansen Family’s customers. His dad is responsible for getting him into the industry as a teenager, making him run duct work in their home’s attic in order to earn money for a play station he desperately wanted.

Matt has always loved working with his hands and helping people is one of his driving forces. When Matt is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and son. He also loves building cars and gaming PC’s.

Daniel has been in the home service space for nearly a decade. He joined the Hansen Family team in 2023, offering his strong operation management skills to the company. He specializes in project management with a strong background in insulation, ductwork, and HVAC. Daniel’s role has been imperative to the growth of our A/C division and we feel lucky to have him on our team!

In his free time, Daniel enjoys working out, working on his car, and hanging out with his girlfriend.

Britni has been in the home service industry for over 6 years and joined the Hansen Family team in early 2023. Britni quickly took charge and transformed our office into the well-oiled machine it is today. Her can-do attitude, charisma, and empathetic spirit make her the perfect liaison between our customers and our technicians. Britni consistently embodies our company core values and truly wants the best for everyone around her.

In her downtime, she loves spending time with her husband where they enjoy concerts and music festivals. She too as very creative, spending her free time drawing and painting!

Shelby V. is married to Hansen Family’s founder, Erik Hansen, and joined the team in 2023. After spending years in Education, she decided to take a leap of faith and do a complete career shift, and we could not be more grateful. Her years spent in education have helped transform our company in the best possible way. She is our resident confidante helping bridge any gaps between departments. Shelby’s leadership is unmatched as she exudes our company values to the core.

In her free time she loves spending time with Erik and their kids.

Shelby W. joined the Hansen Family team full-time in early 2023 but has worked with the company for nearly 4 years. As our full-time marketing executive, she is responsible for keeping the phones ringing. She absolutely loves working at Hansen Family as she believes our company culture and core values are unmatched. As a marketing veteran, she has worked with countless home service companies and truly feels like Hansen Family is one-of-a-kind in the services we offer and the way we treat our customers. She loves being part of the family and is so grateful for Erik bringing her on full-time to help grow the company.

Shelby works remote, living in rural Pennsylvania. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband, dogs, and ducks!
