Meet The Hansen Family Team

Erik is an Arizona native. In 2002, after college, Erik joined the United States Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Four years later, following an injury, he returned home and started working in the plumbing industry. In 2008 Erik joined his father, Dick’s, plumbing company where he continued learning the skills of the trade from the best of the best! After five years of working with his dad, Erik made the decision to start his own company, founding Hansen Family, originally EH Plumbing & Drains, in the winter of 2013.

Erik and his wife, Shelby, live in Mesa with their children. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, especially out at the lake. Erik is a life-long Arizona Cardinals fan and he makes it a priority to get to as many games as possible.

Dick has been in the Plumbing industry since 1981 and has nearly mastered the trade! Dick is Erik’s dad and mentor, serving the Hansen Family as the Field Manager. He is our resident plumbing master, the first person the team turns to with any and all questions regarding plumbing projects. His knowledge in the industry is unmatched.

Originally from Missouri, he moved to Arizona in the early 80s where he has been ever since. When he’s not working with Erik at his company, he enjoys watching Cardinals’ football and loves spending time with his wife, Diana, and with their children and grandchildren.

Mark has been in the plumbing industry for over 3 years, and while that may not seem like a long time, he diagnoses and performs plumbing services like that of a veteran technician. He has been at Hansen Family for over 2 years and in those 2 years has exemplified what a valuable team member he is. Mark was promoted to field manager early in his career with Hansen Family because of his true dedication to the company and knowledge of the plumbing industry as a whole.

When Mark is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter (soon to be daughters!), play baseball in a local mens league, and play poker with his buddies.

Mark is a master at sewer and water line repairs and installation, being able to quickly diagnose issues and offer our clients the best solutions that are not only budget friendly but the best course of action. He is dedicated to his trade and loves working for Hansen Family because of the supportive, family environment.

Dillon was recently promoted from apprentice to full-time technician. While he is young, his eagerness to master the industry has prevailed from his very first day with the Hansen Family team. He has been with Hansen Family for almost a year, riding alongside our master technicians for the first 8 months of his career here. As a new technician, his eagerness and enthusiasm helped to expedite his training and understanding of the industry as a whole. Dillon exemplifies our company’s core values each day and we feel honored to have him on our team. As he grows within the company and plumbing space, he hopes to one day become a master technician who specializes in drains, fully understanding how everything in our homes work to better serve his customers!

In his down time, Dillon loves to hang out with his dad, fish, watch movies, and play video games.

Shelby V. is married to Hansen Family’s founder, Erik Hansen, and joined the team in 2023. After spending years in Education, she decided to take a leap of faith and do a complete career shift, and we could not be more grateful. Her years spent in education have helped transform our company in the best possible way. She is our resident confidante helping bridge any gaps between departments. Shelby’s leadership is unmatched as she exudes our company values to the core.

In her free time she loves spending time with Erik and their kids.

Shelby W. joined the Hansen Family team full-time in early 2023 but has worked with the company for nearly 4 years. As our full-time marketing executive, she is responsible for keeping the phones ringing. She absolutely loves working at Hansen Family as she believes our company culture and core values are unmatched. As a marketing veteran, she has worked with countless home service companies and truly feels like Hansen Family is one-of-a-kind in the services we offer and the way we treat our customers. She loves being part of the family and is so grateful for Erik bringing her on full-time to help grow the company.

Shelby works remote, living in rural Pennsylvania. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband, dogs, and ducks!

Sev is a skilled plumber with a strong background in the home service industry. He began his career working as a contractor alongside his father, which sparked his passion for plumbing. Originally from Washington, he moved to the Greater Phoenix area to pursue opportunities in a high-demand market. In his free time, Sev enjoys outdoor adventures with his girlfriend and their golden retriever, whether it’s hiking around the valley, paddling down the river, or hitting the local bike trails. He loves being a plumber because it allows him to meet new people and help solve problems in their homes.

Born and raised right here in Phoenix, Michael has been in the plumbing industry for over five years. Inspired by his father, a general contractor, he developed a passion for working with his hands and helping people. Outside of work, Michael enjoys gaming, movies, and spending time outdoors. His favorite part of the job is solving problems for homeowners and making a difference each day. He loves being part of Hansen Family Plumbing & Air because it’s a family-owned company that truly treats everyone like family.

Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana (a proud Hoosier!), Bill brings over 20 years of experience in the trades and a background in construction to his leadership role at Hansen Family Plumbing & Air. His passion lies in creating solutions and ensuring customers get exactly what they need. Outside of work, you’ll find him racing superbikes, especially his Ducati Panigale. Bill loves Hansen’s great culture and people, and he lives by the belief that every day is what you make it.

Originally from Downers Grove, Illinois, Nels and his wife moved to Phoenix for new job opportunities and quickly fell in love with the Valley. With 30 years of HVAC experience, Nels brings unmatched expertise and leadership to every job. Though his father was in construction, he encouraged Nels to explore many trades before finding his true passion in HVAC. Outside of work, Nels and his wife love discovering new restaurants, hiking, and walking their dogs. His favorite part of the job is helping customers find solutions and mentoring others to grow in their careers. He’s proud to work for a family-owned company that shares his values and commitment to doing what’s right.

Born and raised in Maryvale, Arizona, Yael is a first-generation American with roots in Guanajuato, Mexico. He grew up helping his father, a plumber, and began his career building new homes across the Valley. After four years in new construction, he transitioned to service plumbing to strengthen his skills and take on new challenges. Yael is bilingual in English and Spanish and is even learning French! When he’s not working, you’ll find him spending time with family, mudding, fishing, shooting, or enjoying a cold beer. He takes pride in providing quality work and satisfying every customer. Yael loves working for Hansen Family Plumbing & Air because it’s a family-oriented company, not a corporation, and he’s committed to delivering 5-star service every time.

Born and raised in Chandler, Arizona, Anthony brings 23 years of experience to the plumbing and home-services industry. He got his start when a former boss took a chance on him, launching a career built on dedication, skill, and a true passion for helping others. Anthony loves solving problems and making sure customers feel taken care of every step of the way. When he’s off the clock, he enjoys spending time with his wife. He’s proud to be part of Hansen Family Plumbing & Air because of the strong family culture and supportive team environment.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Selinna has been in customer service since 2013 and says it “runs in the family.” She’s passionate about creating positive experiences for every caller, especially after working in environments where customer care wasn’t a priority. Selinna loves that Hansen Family Plumbing & Air is family-owned, highly rated, and built on genuine relationships. Outside of work, you’ll find her fishing, going to concerts, watching movies, or cheering on the Diamondbacks. She values having a great boss, a supportive team, and a relaxed environment that allows her to do what she does best—take care of people.

Connor Funk is a Plumber with 7 years of experience. Originally from Crystal Lake, Illinois, Connor moved to Phoenix to be closer to family and enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife and son. After leaving the military, he transitioned into plumbing and takes pride in fixing problems and delivering quality service. Connor loves being part of Hansen Family Plumbing & Air for its strong culture and family-focused values.

Austin is an HVAC Technician with 6 years of experience. Originally from California and Texas, Austin was introduced to the trades by his father. He enjoys hiking and camping and takes pride in making customers happy through quality, reliable service. Austin is proud to be part of the Hansen Family, where customers are treated like family.

Isaac is an HVAC Technician with 2 years of experience. He moved to Arizona from California in 2012 and chose the HVAC industry because it allows him to work hands-on while helping people every day. A proud family man with two young sons, Isaac has a true heart for service and enjoys being part of Hansen Family Plumbing & Air because of its strong family-oriented culture.

Born in Anchorage and raised in Pismo Beach, Ashley moved to Phoenix in 1999. Growing up around woodworking and home improvement, with a father in the industry and a husband who’s a finish carpenter, she naturally found her way into the home service world.

Ashley loves building relationships with customers and believes knowledge and growth go hand in hand. She truly feels Hansen Family Plumbing & Air lives up to its name, it’s a place where family comes first.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, yoga, hiking, motorcycles, boating, and horseback riding.

Born and raised right here in Arizona, Julee was introduced to the home service industry through her spouse and quickly found her passion in the customer service side of the business. She truly enjoys helping people and making each customer feel heard and supported.

Julee loves the positive culture at Hansen Family Plumbing & Air and appreciates working alongside a team that makes it easy to come to work every day. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her kids and grandkids, traveling, and being with her dog, Roxy, who absolutely rules her world!

Javier Sanchez is an Arizona native with over 16 years of plumbing experience. He got his start in the trade at Luhers Tower and has built a reputation for reliable, high-quality work ever since. Javier is passionate about helping homeowners solve problems and making sure they feel confident every step of the way.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. Javier joined Hansen Family Plumbing & Air for its strong reputation, great customer reviews, and family-focused culture.
