Our Story
Erik Hansen embarked on the journey of founding Hansen Family in 2013, drawing upon a rich legacy of craftsmanship instilled by years of working alongside his father in the field. A proud veteran, Erik’s dedication to service and excellence permeates every aspect of the company’s operations. As an Arizona native, Erik’s drive was fueled by a deep-seated love for the community. He envisioned Hansen Family as more than just a business – it’s a testament to his commitment to providing reliable plumbing and HVAC services to residents across greater Phoenix. As a family-owned enterprise, Erik instills Hansen Family with a personal touch, ensuring that each customer is treated with the care and respect they deserve. Meet The Team
Erik
Founder, 18 years in the industry
Erik is an Arizona native. In 2002, after college, Erik joined the United States Army and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. Four years later, following an injury, he returned home and started working in the plumbing industry. In 2008 Erik joined his father, Dick’s, plumbing company where he continued learning the skills of the trade from the best of the best! After five years of working with his dad, Erik made the decision to start his own company, founding Hansen Family, originally EH Plumbing & Drains, in the winter of 2013.
Erik and his wife, Shelby, live in Mesa with their children. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, especially out at the lake. Erik is a life-long Arizona Cardinals fan and he makes it a priority to get to as many games as possible.
Dick
Field Manager, 43 years in the industry
Dick has been in the Plumbing industry since 1981 and has nearly mastered the trade! Dick is Erik’s dad and mentor, serving the Hansen Family as the Field Manager. He is our resident plumbing master, the first person the team turns to with any and all questions regarding plumbing projects. His knowledge in the industry is unmatched.
Originally from Missouri, he moved to Arizona in the early 80s where he has been ever since. When he’s not working with Erik at his company, he enjoys watching Cardinals’ football and loves spending time with his wife, Diana, and with their children and grandchildren.
Robert
Lead Plumbing Technician, 20+ years in the industry
Robert was the first technician to join Erik full-time! As an original member of the Hansen Family, he sets the standards of hard work and culture of the company with his jokes and funny stories! We can always count on Robert to bring smiles to our faces during our weekly team meetings. Robert has been in the industry since the early 2000s and exemplifies his extensive knowledge of the plumbing industry each and every day. He is often the first technician to train new plumbers that have joined the team as he not only has an exuberant amount of knowledge to share but also showcases our core values each and every day with our team and our customers.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Robert especially loves teaching his grandchildren to love the outdoors (fishing, camping, and hunting) and NASCAR.
Mark
Plumbing Field Manager, 3 years in the industry
Mark has been in the plumbing industry for over 3 years, and while that may not seem like a long time, he diagnoses and performs plumbing services like that of a veteran technician. He has been at Hansen Family for over 2 years and in those 2 years has exemplified what a valuable team member he is. Mark was promoted to field manager early in his career with Hansen Family because of his true dedication to the company and knowledge of the plumbing industry as a whole.
When Mark is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and daughter (soon to be daughters!), play baseball in a local mens league, and play poker with his buddies.
Mark is a master at sewer and water line repairs and installation, being able to quickly diagnose issues and offer our clients the best solutions that are not only budget friendly but the best course of action. He is dedicated to his trade and loves working for Hansen Family because of the supportive, family environment.
Dillon
Plumbing Technician
Dillon was recently promoted from apprentice to full-time technician. While he is young, his eagerness to master the industry has prevailed from his very first day with the Hansen Family team. He has been with Hansen Family for almost a year, riding alongside our master technicians for the first 8 months of his career here. As a new technician, his eagerness and enthusiasm helped to expedite his training and understanding of the industry as a whole. Dillon exemplifies our company’s core values each day and we feel honored to have him on our team. As he grows within the company and plumbing space, he hopes to one day become a master technician who specializes in drains, fully understanding how everything in our homes work to better serve his customers!
In his down time, Dillon loves to hang out with his dad, fish, watch movies, and play video games.
Jennifer
CSR
Jennifer has been in the home service industry for 2 years and just hit her 1-year mark with Hansen Family! She is originally from Jacksonville, Florida but made her way to Greater Phoenix to follow her kids as they grew older and started their own families! Outside of work, Jen also has a side business where she creates the most unique, Halloween-themed crafts for various craft shows throughout the year! Jen has expressed her love for working at Hansen Family, stating that she loves getting to talk to new people every day and truly enjoys the camaraderie we have build within the company.
Britni
Lead CSR, 6 years in the industry
Britni has been in the home service industry for over 6 years and joined the Hansen Family team in early 2023. Britni quickly took charge and transformed our office into the well-oiled machine it is today. Her can-do attitude, charisma, and empathetic spirit make her the perfect liaison between our customers and our technicians. Britni consistently embodies our company core values and truly wants the best for everyone around her.
In her downtime, she loves spending time with her husband where they enjoy concerts and music festivals. She too as very creative, spending her free time drawing and painting!
Shelby V
Human Resources
Shelby V. is married to Hansen Family’s founder, Erik Hansen, and joined the team in 2023. After spending years in Education, she decided to take a leap of faith and do a complete career shift, and we could not be more grateful. Her years spent in education have helped transform our company in the best possible way. She is our resident confidante helping bridge any gaps between departments. Shelby’s leadership is unmatched as she exudes our company values to the core.
In her free time she loves spending time with Erik and their kids.

Chief Marketing Officer, 7 years experience
Shelby W. joined the Hansen Family team full-time in early 2023 but has worked with the company for nearly 4 years. As our full-time marketing executive, she is responsible for keeping the phones ringing. She absolutely loves working at Hansen Family as she believes our company culture and core values are unmatched. As a marketing veteran, she has worked with countless home service companies and truly feels like Hansen Family is one-of-a-kind in the services we offer and the way we treat our customers. She loves being part of the family and is so grateful for Erik bringing her on full-time to help grow the company.
Shelby works remote, living in rural Pennsylvania. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband, dogs, and ducks!
Mitch
Plumbing Technician
Mitch is a skilled plumbing technician with over eight years of industry experience. Originally from Seattle, he moved to Phoenix to be closer to family. His father introduced him to the plumbing trade, sparking both his career and his passion for helping others. Outside of work, Mitch enjoys spending quality time with his kids and anything related to cars. He appreciates the strong family atmosphere at Hansen Family Plumbing & Air, where he values being part of a small but mighty team.
Sev
Plumbing Technician
Sev is a skilled plumber with a strong background in the home service industry. He began his career working as a contractor alongside his father, which sparked his passion for plumbing. Originally from Washington, he moved to the Greater Phoenix area to pursue opportunities in a high-demand market. In his free time, Sev enjoys outdoor adventures with his girlfriend and their golden retriever, whether it’s hiking around the valley, paddling down the river, or hitting the local bike trails. He loves being a plumber because it allows him to meet new people and help solve problems in their homes.
Marsean
HVAC Technician
Marsean recently joined the Hansen Family team as an HVAC technician, bringing eight years of industry experience and exceptional skills to our customers. A Phoenix native, he understands firsthand the importance of a reliable HVAC system for homes and businesses. His passion for the industry began with his desire to help customers solve problems they couldn’t fix on their own. In his free time, Marsean enjoys fishing with his sons and coaching any sport his children are involved in. We are so excited to have Marsean on our team and to be able to watch him grow within the company and the industry!
Noah
Plumbing Technician
Noah is one of our skilled plumbing technicians, bringing nearly four years of experience to the trade. Originally from Washington, he recently relocated to the Greater Phoenix area in search of new opportunities. A friend encouraged him to pursue a career in plumbing, and he quickly fell in love with the work. For Noah, one of the most rewarding parts of the job is helping people every day—he describes each project as a puzzle to solve, which keeps things exciting.
Outside of work, Noah enjoys hiking, backpacking, playing video games, and working on his cars. He grew up an athlete, wrestling and playing soccer for nine years, and his love for the outdoors comes naturally—he has family in Alaska, Washington, and Montana. Noah says one of the best parts of working at Hansen Family Plumbing & Air is the strong family atmosphere and the team’s customer-first mindset.
